Intercessory Prayer Daniel 9:1-9,17-19,21-24

4 I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed:
"Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his commandments, 5 we have sinned and done wrong. 6 We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. We have not listened to your servants the prophets...
7 Lord, You are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame-

Daniel was called to intercede for his rebellious nation.  He lived in a world not that different from the world we face today. Like Daniel, Christians are called to pray for the lost sinner, the wayward Christian, and those broken by sorrow, guilt, shame, anger, and bitterness.
As we pray for God's mercy and forgiveness,
we are to forgive and show mercy to others.
Just as Jesus did for each of us.
